She’s My Person
If you have ever seen an episode of Grey’s Anatomy?
In the show, you have this “Partners in crime” friendship between Meredith and Christina.
They are so different and yet the same.
To take a quote from Grey’s Anatomy:
“I don’t have to say a word.
She just looks at me and sees who I am and how I feel and accepts it.
She doesn’t try to change it or want to change it. That person.
There are a billion people but I imagine there’s only one of her.”
I remember first time meeting this friend, I really didn’t like her and I remember the feeling being mutual, so that was fun.
Have you have that friends, where ages has gone and she is still the same. well, I have.
I actually don’t remember when and how it changed. But thank God it did, since then we were connected.
We have had our share of fights, and haven’t talked for what seems like ages at times but we always managed to find each other again.
What makes this person so fascinating is that she knows me inside out, she knows the deepest darkest corners of my soul and she still loves me.
She has an undying belief in me and my potential, a belief I might lose from time to time, but she is always there reminding me that there is a greater purpose with my life.
Always have people around you that makes you want to level up.
Whenever I need to discuss a business idea, I always call her. If there are some changes to be made, I advise with her.
When I’m with her I always feel so uplifted, she gives me energy and makes me feel like anything is possible if only I put my mind into it.
As Christina so nicely puts it;
“She’s my person.
If I murdered someone, she’s the person I’d call to help me drag the corpse across the living room floor.
She’s my person.”
Always have that kind of a person in your life that knows you for just who you are, and accepts it.
Someone will never misuse that trust and always be there for you.
These types are so rare to find if you do hold on and never let go.
