The Face of Denmark is Changing Part 3.

Right winds are blowing, and everything that is or resembles non-western should be kicked out or presented as a threat.
The most tragic about this is that we do not want refugees in the West, But the West have no problem selling weapons to countries in conflict and fuel the wars.
When the general population in the war-torn countries want to flee the horrors they are put through and want to save that which is most precious to them, their families, their children. Then we close the borders and say things like “well, we can’t save them all.”

In Hungary, refugees are treated like criminals from the start. The Hungarian Government passed a bill ordering refugees to be kept in asylum camps near the Hungarian border, so they don’t have freedom of movement in the country.
It was also in Hungary a journalist tripped a refugee father carrying his child that we saw everywhere last year.
Why did she do it?
Because he was a refugee, and therefore not worthy of empathy or humanity in her eyes.
European Countries like France, Spain, Denmark, Britain have traveled the world and occupied other nations. Forced them to adopt the western culture and western values.
Now that Europe is experiencing immigration, Europe’s biggest fear is that other people will come and colonize them and impose their values and traditions on to them.
Many believe that immigrants come to Europe because they want to. But how many would really have come to Europe, if it weren’t because of the West bombing their countries?
First Afghanistan, then Iraq, now Syria. Countries that are in a bigger mess now and more dangerous to return to than ever.
In all fairness, would YOU embark on a journey where you would not know if you or your family members would survive?
Where you don’t know if an overloaded boat will drown you and your kids in the Mediterranean? Where will you be chased and beaten by different police forces in Europe?
These people have nothing to lose. For them, this is the only way out, their only chance to save their loved ones.
Look at the Palestinians that are scattered across the world, a people that will probably never come home. The whole world is watching Israel occupying the Palestinian land, torturing kids, putting them in prisons and nobody does anything about it.
But they are very quick to say no we can’t help when people are trying to flee their circumstances.
If you look at Denmark, it is believed that the reason integration has failed is because ALL immigrants do not speak Danish, they are not open to Danish culture and Christian values.
But Danes put great pride in Danes living outside Denmark who still holds on to their Danish values. Who still hoist the Danish flag, speaks Danish and keeps hold of Danish culture and values. They’ve even made a documentary about Danes living in the US who still hangs on to their Danish traditions, and it is broadcast on Danish national television. It was not criticized but applauded for “being Dane in the world.”
How many Danes in Pakistan have bothered to learn the language?
They send their children to international schools and use English as their second language there.
In Singapore, they send their children to Danish-speaking schools.
If you go to Spain, you will find Danish/ Swedish communities where only Danes and Swede live, and they only talk their native languages. They buy food, drink, and magazines from “home,” but under a warmer sun. If you want to travel to Turkey, for example, they have “Danish” hotels where everything is in Danish, and the staff speaks Danish.
Danes traveling and move abroad but don’t bother adapting to other cultures. They hold on to their culture tightly; they take pride in sticking to their own.
But if you come to Denmark it is expected that you should leave everything you know behind you. Your traditions, your culture, your language and even when all this is done. Even if you are willing to leave everything behind you, You are still not Danish. For you don’t look Danish and you will never be recognized as Danish.
A lot of people will argue that integration can’t happen. We are too different the immigrants and the Danes.
If Immigrants felt safe, felt a part of the society, felt welcome, they would want to be more open. When they are told again and again that they are not good enough that they need to leave the country that they are everything that is wrong with the society. Why would they want to try to reach out?
Young foreign boys are refused access to discos because the number they can allow of “foreigners” have exceeded.
Or they can’t let “their kind” in.
When applying for jobs if you have the “wrong “name, you will be bypassed for someone with a Danish name.
If you get rejected time and time again at one point, people stop striving to be a part of a society that wouldn’t accept them and start finding common ground, hang out with people like themselves.
When I was vacationing in Turkey, I met a Danish girl whose father told her that if she ever came home with a foreigner, he would cut her off and wouldn’t have anything to do with her.
I know she is not the only one. This is becoming the norm; kids are told to play with ”their own kind” and girls are not allowed to date a foreigner. But if a foreign girl is told the same then it is wrong, and their parents are suppressing them.
In both cases, the parents are acting out of the fear of the unknown. They want to keep their most precious safe. I’m not saying it is right, but if you are saying one is suppressed, then you have to say the same about the other.
So how can we make integration better? How can we united and became a society that looks at diversity as a resource to make a country stronger and better?
First, we need to have a Minister of Integration that want to integrate, that has a clue about what’s going on in the “real” Denmark and who is genuinely interested in including everyone in the Danish society.
In real life, if Inger Støjberg had worked for a company, she would have been fired, for not doing her job.
Haven’t done anything to integrate.
Tried to introduce the Jewelry law?
Scolding random young boys in Nørrebro?
Keep putting restrictions on refugees and create a class society in Denmark?
Celebrate it all with cake?

Politicians in Denmark need to grow a spine.
Especially The Social Democrats who have taken on Dansk Folkeparti politics, they need to bring their politics more towards the left like they used to.
The Social Democrats need to get back to their cause and focus on their politics instead of copying racist parties.
Syrian had a beautiful country and alot of the refugees can contribute with something, if we give them a fair chance. Stop assumming the worse, all they want is a fair chance and a sage haven, we ought to give them that at least.
The Danish society needs to understand that they can’t stay inside their duck pond. If Denmark wants to compete in the world, you need to let the world in, use the ressources these refuges bring along.
Danish companies like Maersk, Novo Nordisk, and Lego embraced the global society. They learned amazing things and brought home experiences and knowledge, which made them grow and succeed even more.
We see these companies as role models and success stories, something for Denmark to be proud of and show the world.
You cannot be inspired by these companies, and then promote isolation and fear.
Exactly how successful would these companies be if they had chosen to isolate themselves and their businesses to Denmark only, for Danes only?
The Danish society and government need to realize that the “face of the Dane” is changing. In a global world, you cannot isolate yourself. You need different perspectives and influences to grow as a society and as a country. Denmark is taking a turn towards isolation and xenophobia.
That is the perfect recipe for falling behind in this global race.
