When you grow and start a new chapter, chances are there will be a change in your environment. You might outgrow a loved one or people you usually associate yourself with.
How painful it may be, change does happen.

Even though we want growth change often comes. When we aren’t ready to let go. We keep looking at the closed door that’s causing us all kinds of pain and agony. Some people welcomes change. While most hate change since it outside their comfort zone.

When we finally let go of what holdings us back, a weight is lifted off our shoulder. We feel free and more productive. All the time and energy spent on fixing unhealthy relationships can now be put on other healthier and more creative choices.

As I wrote about in an earlier post, my biggest change came after I had a baby. I don’t remember what I use to do with my life before baby. Other then hang with my girls and family. That was what I used my time for. There is nothing wrong with spending time with loved ones; I was perfectly contempt with were I was. My dreams were just my dreams, and I never thought of pursuing them.

When your life is on auto-play, you don’t have the need to dig deep inside yourself. To find your true purpose. Even if you try, if you don’t know what unconditional love is. You wouldn’t find it.

I have spent many years working on myself, to love and accept myself just as I am. It wasn’t until I became a mother, I learn what unconditional love is for me. The kind of love that is ever growing, giving, the kind of love you pour over your children.

The kind of love you are supposed AND ALLOWED to have for yourself. If you are wondering, how can I teach my children to love themselves unconditionally? If you don’t love yourself, how can you teach them?

While working on these challenges and on how to raise your self-esteem to feel more confident about yourself. I  stumbled upon this interview with Jennifer Lopez talking about how she’s been suffering from low self-esteem and how her kids taught her about self-love while promoting her book True Love.

It’s a real eye-opener, check it out!
